Narrative:
Saturday afternoon 7-15-06 around 1:00 p.m. four police cars came zooming into the street in front of my granddaughters mobile home. In the second car was her boyfriend, James Kuras, exiting the car but handcuffed. Jessie and I had been outside by my car in her driveway and when we saw the police and her boyfriend, Jessie was horrified, and said "oh hell no!" The policeman walked over to her and spun her around and roughly slapped those handcuffs on her and shoved her into the back seat of his cruiser. I said, hey what are you doing to my granddaughter? He said get in the house. I said what can I do here? Is there something I can do? He just said get in the house. The next door neighbor was having a spat with his girlfriend and her mother had called the police. James Kuras my granddaughters boyfriend, had been giving a ride to his neighbor when the police stopped them and took them back to the Tradewinds Mobile Park Estates to the mobile home where the rough treatment occurred to my granddaughter Jessica. The policeman made Jessica sit in the car for a long time. He did not tell her why he detained her. He was talking to the mother of the girl who had a fight with her boyfriend. The girls mother was neither a witness nor the victim but the police were giving her all the attention and not even questioning the girl. I used my cell phone to take pictures but they aren't that good and it made the woman who filled the complaint mad. But I didn't care I did not know what to do or how to help Jessica or Jaymie. The police left bruises on Jessica's wrist and hurt her neck and back from the man-handling of her. She is not a criminal nor was she doing anything wrong. Jessie has taken the police tag number down although I do not have it at present. I would like someone to contact us so we can follow up with some kind of complaint for this travisty. Thank you. Sue Schneider
